Ecash, the Little Prince Coming Home

In a land called the Crypto Forest, there lived a figure named Bitcoin, who was the first to discover this place and turned it into a new kingdom.

Undoubtedly, Bitcoin was a worthy king.

The king had three princes: BCH, BSV, and XEC. They were not on good terms.

BCH, the eldest prince, chose the orthodox path, claiming he would eventually inherit Bitcoin’s throne.

BSV was a disturbed prince. He always insisted that he was the true king, and the current king was a usurper. Everyone thought he was crazy and paid him no mind.

XEC, however, was a rebellious prince. Tired of the infighting within the family, he chose to leave and go into self-exile. His plan was to forge a divine sword called the “Avalanche Protocol.” Once he had grown strong enough, he would return to his homeland and reclaim what was rightfully his.

Of course, there were other forces in the Crypto Forest. ETH, second only to King Bitcoin in wealth, had long coveted the throne. Besides, over the years, many new nobles had risen: SOL, XRP, TRX, BNB…

The little prince ecash spent far too long forging this divine sword. During this time, much happened in the Crypto Forest—new nobles kept rising, while old ones declined. Yet King Bitcoin’s power remained as strong as ever, even growing. None of this mattered to the little prince; he just hammered away at his sword, bit by bit, over and over.

People gradually forgot the little prince who had left home years ago and even changed his name.

Now, XEC the little prince’s Avalanche Divine Sword is nearly complete. Will he rise to fame with this sword in a single battle?

Stay tuned!

This is my take on ecash (XEC): it is a heir to the kingdom who grew tired of quarrels, chose self-exile, and is preparing to forge a magical weapon before returning home to reclaim his rightful glory.

When deadalnix, the leader of ecash, said they would abandon the pursuit of the “Bitcoin” title and rebrand, I once considered selling all my ecash. It felt like ecash was giving up the fight for the throne and voluntarily retiring to the countryside.

But after calm reflection, I decided to wait a little longer. After all, ecash’s choice was too much like the protagonist of a story.

The biggest risk during this period was whether the ecash team could see it through to the end and forge the true Avalanche Divine Sword. It was an uncertainty. For now, it seems my bet was right. Better late than never.

Deadalnix is undoubtedly an outstanding engineer, but he may not be a skilled marketer.

In fact, BSV has a skilled marketer. BSV has no technical advantages; it is propped up entirely by Craig Wright’s words—or rather, one sentence: “I am Satoshi Nakamoto.” An unproven lie, a mad statement. Yet the price of the coin is an undeniable fact: BSV has, for most of the time, had a higher total market capitalization than ecash.

Of course, I know the ecash team, with their “technology first” mindset, would disdain such behavior. But I hope they understand one thing: not everyone is a technician, and not everyone is even rational. For ecash to enter the public eye and people’s daily lives, it needs to learn to speak in a language the public can understand.

There is a Chinese idiom: “有的放矢 (yǒu dǐ fàng shǐ)”. It means “shooting at the target”—a metaphor for speaking and acting with clear goals and focus, communicating with different audiences in ways they can understand.

I suggest that ecash consider placing the Bitcoin whitepaper in a prominent position on its official website, emphasizing that it is indeed the legitimate heir to Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoin whitepaper.

I hope ecash can truly inherit Satoshi Nakamoto’s original vision and become the new king of the Crypto Forest—not retreat to a corner and become a warlord ruling a divided territory.

Finally, like everyone else, I look forward to the day when the Avalanche Divine Sword reveals its sharp edge.
